We almost lost our gennaker on Friday. The fitting in the head of the sail broke somehow. Luckily, Colbjørn noticed it and we took the sail down before it completely came off by itself. While the moral was down for a short while, we took out the toolkit and started patching it up. After some hours of sowing, a few broken needles, dyneema and duck tape operation, the gennaker was up and running again this afternoon. Fingers crossed that our fix holds up at least until Saint Lucia!
