Jubilate Mare - Land Ahoy - almost!
Thank you all for continuing to read my ramblings.
You'll no doubt be pleased to hear that this (fingers
crossed) should be our last full 24 hours, on the high seas, before we
arrive at Rodney Bay. We are hoping to make landfall before dark tomorrow.
Our fish supper last night was superb. Tom
roasted some with lemon, capers and black pepper. It was delicious and
Elaine made trifle for desert - yum. We still have some fillets left to enjoy
and are continuing to hope for further bites. A tuna would be most
welcome.
We were berthed next to Tom's boat, in La Linea last
month, which is how we all met. Tom stepped in for a leg on the boat when
Elaine took time out to fly home to see her Mum in hospital in Scotland,
and then, when Toma had to drop out, Tom filled the space. He has been a huge
asset in more ways than one and we are delighted that he was able to join
our crew.
Speaking of crew - Kieron and Bruno are safely installed
in the Bay Gardens Hotel, Rodney Bay, sitting out their quarantine period.
They both sailed with us on ARC Europe in 2018 and are joining in our
next adventure. World ARC 2021 leaves on Jan 9th and at the moment there are
just 7 boats signed up for this. I will take a break after tomorrow and
restart regular news in the New Year. Bee at sea
