What a difference a day makes
In the last 36 hours, We’ve had our first ‘ALL HANDS ON DECK’ shout. Needed to drag the headsail down after one end of the self-tacking head sail failed.
The crew are simply awesome.
Sail came down (it was emotional) and we hoisted the Storm Stay as a measure to get some drive and balance from the front.
A relatively restful night followed.
At first light we gybed and set to work to solve how to fly the headsail. It took most of the morning. The solution being fantastic and allowing us to sail a little deeper.
Spot of lunch and quick team chat. Then the first hoist of the big Code Zero sail. A thorough crew brief, everyone played a critical role and the sail went up and created some real fast water for us to play with.
Held the Zero until about half-hour before sunset.
Now charging along under full main and headsail.
Another day nearly done.
Onwards into the night.
