Artemis - Half-way there
Yesterday we celebrated our half way point from Cape Verde to St. Lucia. After the prosecco we made a gybe and are now headed straight to Rodney Bay.
The wind has picked up, so we are hoping to make up for some lost time. The finish line closes at 12.00h on the 17th of December. We are putting in our best efforts to make it in time. Looking forward to celebrating with the other ARC boats!
In the mean time we have entertained ourselves with fishing, reading and borrelen. Dick and Maurice have installed fans in everyone's bunk. With temperatures rising above 30°C, those are more than welcome.
After being alone for a long time, yesterday we were in the proximity of two other sailing boats. Having a chat over the radio on the middle of the Atlantic is always nice.
This morning it is pancakes for breakfast, yumm. Right now we are looking at a beautiful sunrise (7.00AM). With 981 nm to go on the plotter. It will be a great day again.
Cheers,
Artemis crew
