If it wasn't for these micro blogs, I would have no idea how many days we've been out here. It is all a blur. We missed our buddies on Cupid today, being the first time they've been at a distance from us. This evening we were joined by
Ariel, and had a good chat on VHF.
The conditions have become unstable with talk amongst the fleet about tactics for facing squally conditions, and possible thunderstorms tomorrow (Thursday). But so far, our sailing line hasn't seen anything but low winds and now wishy washy
seas. Leg 1 made us feel like this is normal, but it would be nice to return to our beautiful magic carpet ride that comes with going downwind using our parasailor.
The day was spent baking bread, cooking creamy tomato and salami pasta and fish tacos. The weather seems to be heating up the further we make it South West, making it challenging to have a nap during the day. Even more challenging than
napping with two children on board.
We're seeing more and more seaweed as well. It keeps getting caught on our hydrogenerator, making a bit of a rumble. It makes me wonder what our rudders look like, and it's definitely an incentive not to turn on the motors.
