Vom und im Beat des Atlantiks
Diese Woche hatten wir unser Bergfest - die Hälfte der
Seemeilen haben wir bereits hinter uns gelassen. Die Tage auf dem Atlantik
vergehen schnell - fast zu schnell. Wir rechneten mit einer Überquerungszeit von 10-21 Tage und
vor Reiseantritt wurde ich häufig
gefragt, ob bei rund drei Wochen auf dem Atlantik wohl Langeweile aufkommen würde? Nach einer Zeit auf der Pure
Fun darf ich verraten, dass Langeweile die geringste Portion an Bord ist. Alles
an Bord hat seinen eigenen, anderen - ruhigeren Beat. So dauert ein
Cappuccinozubereiten bei viel Welle und rund 20 Grad Schräglage im Vergleich
zum Cappuccino kochen zuhause deutlich länger. Es werden die einzelne
Zubereitungsschritte geplant: die Tassen in eine rutschfeste Box gestellt, die
Milch in einem Moment aus dem Kühlschrank geholt, in welchem man sicher sein
kann, dass nichts durch die nächste Wellenbewegung in den Kühlschrank
hineinrutschen, aber auch idealerweise nichts herausfallen kann. Glücklich,
dass die ersten Vorbereitungsschritte unfallfrei durchgeführt werden konnte,
folgt die größere Challenge darauf: durch ein Umarmen der Nespressomaschine mit
dem einem Arm wird diese sachte angehoben, damit die mit der anderen Hand fest
gehaltene Tasse den Kaffee aus der Maschine direkt in die Tasse einfangen kann.
Je nach Wellenbewegung balanciert der Arm und die Hand die neue Schräglage aus.
Die Kür erfolgt durch ein Festhalten des Milchschäumers, sodass dieser sich
nicht direkt in den Salon oder in die andere Richtung direkt ans Fenster
bewegen anfängt und dennoch genug schäumt, sodass wir unser Ergebnis mit einem
Lächeln im Gesicht uns zufrieden genießen können. Alles hat seinen eigenen,
langsameren Beat und dabei hab ich euch nur einen kleinen Einblick ins
Kaffeekochen gegeben
Der eigene Beat des Atlantiks hat aber auch etwas sehr
faszinierendes und magisches. Der frische Salzgeruch in der Luft, die Weite um
uns herum und Seemeilenlang keine anderen Boote in Sicht, das Rauschen des
Meeres und die je nach Lichteinfall unterschiedlichen Ozeanfarben, die
fliegenden Fische um uns herum, Delfine die uns begleiten und atemberaubende
Sonnenaufgang und -untergänge ziehen uns in den Bann der Elemente. Genug kann ich selbst nach unserer Halbzeit noch nicht davon bekommen haben.
Mein absolutes Highlight war gestern zu Beginn von Andreas Wache -
flouriszierendes Plankton ! Der Mond war noch
nicht aufgegangen und so segelte die Pure Fun durch den dunklen Abend und zog
am Heck viele kleine grün leuchtenden Punkte wie ein Schweif oder Sternenstaub
hinter sich her. Atemberaubend schön!!
Heute ist der 1. Dezember und das erste Türchen meines
Adventskalenders, der im Gepäck noch Platz fand, wurde geöffnet - vielen Dank

The days on the Atlantic go by quickly - almost too quickly...We expected a crossing time of 10-21 days and before the start of the trip I was often asked whether I would get bored after about three weeks on the Atlantic? After spending some time on the Pure Fun, I can reveal that boredom is the least common on board. Everything on board has its own, different - quieter beat. Preparing a cappuccino with a lot of waves and an incline of around 20 degrees takes significantly longer compared to making a cappuccino at home. The individual preparation steps are planned: the cups are placed in a non-slip box, the milk is taken out of the refrigerator at a moment in which you can be sure that nothing will slip into the refrigerator due to the next wave movement, but ideally nothing will fall out. Happy that the first preparation steps could be carried out without any accidents, the bigger challenge follows: by hugging the Nespresso machine with one arm, it is gently raised so that the cup held firmly with the other hand captures the coffee from the machine directly into the cup can. Depending on the wave movement, the arm and hand balance the new inclined position. The freestyle is done by holding the milk frother firmly so that it doesn't start moving directly into the salon or in the other direction directly towards the window and still foams enough so that we can happily enjoy our result with a smile on our face. Everything has its own, slower beat and I've only given you a little insight into making coffee But there's also something very fascinating and magical about the Atlantic's own beat. The fresh smell of salt in the air, the vastness around us and no other boats in sight for miles, the sound of the sea and the different colors of the ocean depending on the light, the flying fish around us, dolphins accompanying us and breathtaking sunrises and sunsets us under the spell of the elements. Even after halftime, I still can't get enough of it. My absolute highlight was yesterday at the beginning of Andreas Wache - fluorescent plankton! The moon had not yet risen and so the Pure Fun sailed through the dark evening, trailing many small green glowing dots on the stern like a tail or stardust. Breathtakingly beautiful!! Today is December 1st and the first door of my Advent calendar, which still had room in my luggage, was opened - thank you very much, Mom, and best wishes home at this point...Evelyn Sy-purefun.Blog
