Throughout the night the wind swings more to the East and we have to alter course as it becomes lighter and lighter. It clouds over in the night and the morning is grey, overcast and squally. The deck is getting a much needed wash! The wind is very variable and light in general – approx 10-12 knots. The skipper is getting a bit frustrated and wants to go faster – once this next squall passes through we may have to consider the spinnaker. We’re 28 miles from our “1000 miles to go” party, and we’re also 40 south of our rum line. Goosewinging now ,hope this increases our speed sufficiently!
