TAIOHAE
Got up early for a 6 am start to get back to Nuku Hiva's main town and arrived after motoring most of the way about 10 .30. I slept poorly and was up early so wanted to go back to bed in the afternoon and didn't much fancy the hire car idea as I think its much more interesting to have a driver/guide. In the end the others couldn't get a hire car and got a guide called Jocelyn, who was really good, I couldn't sleep and wished I'd gone on the excursion!
Having booked and changed for the last 2 nights we finally made it to the only other restaurant open in Taiohae the Keikahanui Pearl Lodge. We had a good evening but the food was expensive and only average!
