Lady Kay - lady kay meets the police on Kauehi

What a start to the day, waking up in paradise. Mike had risen early whilst Steve and I were still dreaming.

We started off by feeding small fish the left over bread, then wondered why they soon disappeared, it was the arrival of small 18 inch sharks. After making sure they had had plenty of bread to eat, we eventually got in with them as we were desperate to cool down. Time to explore the village, Mike had a chat to a few locals telling them where we had come from, he also told them the current temperature in England and they visibly shuddered. On walking through the village a local guy told us to go and see the local policeman, who smiled at us a lot whilst asking for tourist fees. They were only four pounds for three days. We followed him back to the office and completed the task, he then showed us the visitors book and we promised to go back the next day to sign it, together with the boat stamp.

A coconut fell 6ft from us so we were obliged to bring it back to lady kay to sample the juice and chomp on the coconut. People here are very friendly and willing to trade. We shall take a few gifts for the village children tomorrow. we spent the rest of the day swimming and doing a few odd jobs before settling down for a sundowner an leisurely supper.
