Andante of Mersey - 2 weeks of heaven

It has taken me ages to get round to doing this but there is such a lot to tell you about all the fabulous places we have been to, Tahiti was fairly commercialised  compared to Southport. From there we visited Moorea and stayed in Cook's Bay and then on to another Bay - Opunohu where the snorkeling was great then we sailed back to Tahiti to provision the boat. from there we had a wonderful sail back to Moorea for a day and night. The next night we did a night sail to the island of Huahine, it was really rock and roll Joan was sea sick but the rest of us were ok.We stayed at a couple of different bays and had lots of swimming and snorkeling, four of us hired a car and did a tour of the island, visited a pearl farm which was very interesting then on to a lovely restaurant for lunch and a lazy couple of hours on a white sandy beach, it was so beautiful.after a short sail we arrived at the island of Raiatea went inside the coral atoll and anchored off the sweetest little island no inhabitants, apart from lots of Hermit crabs. There were hundreds of fish and some pretty coral all in crystal clear water under azure blue sky, palm trees swaying and everything just perfect. We are now on the island of Tahaa all of us dined ashore last night and had a great meal and came back quite late, we may go back to this lovely hotel again tonight as they are having a Polynesian floor show and grand buffet. It is really wonderful and I am enjoying myself so much the only thing missing is seeing all my family and friends but I can wait another four weeks .I will have to sign off for now as I have the urge to swim before we go for a sail  and enjoy yet another alfresco lunch with cool beer or chilled wine and of course a salad to eat. Linda
