La Boheme - Day 6 - Close encounter

Yesterday afternoon in the middle of Indian Ocean, we had a large ship overtaking us on our starboard side and on collision course with us. We thought that we were highly visible but when "China Fortune" kept coming without altering her course we had to call it on VHF and to our amazement we had discovered that it did not see us before our alert. We had to change our course and the ship hers and it passed us in front by a short distance.
It pays to be alert!
