The Talulahrubians are partied out,Carnival lasted
a week in Recife. The Arc crews did fantastically with their costumes, and we had
a memorable day in the old town of Olinda ,where we had use of a hotel above the
main street of town.So in some luxury we watched from a tree lined balcony as
the floats and procession went by,and were able to pop into the throng and
retreat when it became too crowded or hot,to sip our cocktails and take
photos.(what a bunch of Gringos)
Our time otherwise was not a happy one,the
marinas saving grace was the swimming pool,as it has been so hot.Recife turned
out to be as difficult as Salvador, with many of us being relieved of watches
cameras and cash !! We also spent days and days waiting for officials to
stamp us in or out, so very glad to have left behind the smelly rat infested
pond where all the boats sat in mud for much of the time, will not be in a hurry
to return. We are also sad to loose Nick, who has flown on to Australia, and Lucy
his sister ,who came for a holiday, but welcome on board Shane
and Jenny, sailing on to Grenada with us.We are now 250
miles up the coast of Brazil, hoping to stop off in Tobago for a few days.As
usual we are fine and send our love to all.
Thanks
Paul Andy & De Talulahrubians.
