We are enjoying our Easter in Nuku Hiva, French Polynesia. We just attended a Catholic service with all the crew of Ocean Jasper. It was an interesting and spiritual experience. Even though it was all in French and Marquesian we were able to understand and feel the spirituality of the people. They have
quite beautiful voices which harmonize well. The drums were incorporated into the service as well. We all agreed it was a lovely experience that we will treasure. Some of the older ladies shook my hand and offered their friendship. It was interesting that the homily was presented by one of the older women.
We are preparing an Easter feast on Crazy Horse today. Our friends from Ocean Jasper, Sean and Sophia from Wild Tigris will honor us with their presence. We will have turkey, seafood, rice, stuffing, salad, veggies and a chocolate dessert.
Bill has yet again proven his worth by repairing another system. The refrig and freezer system needed another saltwater pump. He fixed it and is resting now with a/c going inside. Don't know what we would do without his knowledge and abilities with all the systems on this boat. Everyone seems to be having their challenges with breakdowns. The heat is hard on all the parts and people as well.
Well, must go to prepare the feast. Hope you all have had a wonderful Easter with family and friends.
