Crazy Horse - paradise&plumbing

Well, we made it to paradise and are ready for seeing some of the most glorious underwater and birds anywhere in the world ....but now Bill and I are fixing the toilet! As we were making plans to see the island today the head decided to clog and not work for the 4th time in this trip. Bill says that we have used up all the spare parts now and we must rely on Lisa to bring some more when she visits in Tahiti. Just shows that even paradise is not perfect. But as Bill says you might as well be in paradise while you are fixing something as challenging as the toilet. We try to keep our humor as repairs are just part of the journey.

We hope to see the pearl farm while we are here in Rangiora. Looks like they have had some problems with their economy here because the famous Hotel Kia Ora has shut down - restaurant and all. We are anchored right off the shore and it looks pretty sad. They have all these little cottages with little steps down to the water and some with their own hot tubs. We were looking forward to staying in one or at least eating at the gorgeous restaurant.

There are still bed and breakfast type places which are called Pensions here. Bill and I and Jim and Ana will probably eat there tonight. Bob gave us some fresh tuna which we must eat soon too.

Matt, Bob, and Maggie went snorkling today in one of the best spots called the aquarium. Can't wait to here the reports. There are many sharks there and lots of tropical fish. There is a bird viewing excursion here too.

We are the only two boats here from the WARC. Perhaps more will arrive soon.
