Crazy Horse - June 3

We are motor sailiing today on our way to Tonga. Our speed varies from 6 to
8 kts. Its a sunny day with a breeze of about 10-14kts. We are trying to
pick up the pace since we want to make it to Tonga in the daylight. There
are dangerous reefs and not reliable lights to get in there in the dark. So
we are moving along toward Tonga.

Bill has a new motto for our trip and the Crazy Horse. Somehow it comes from
a Clint Eastwood movie in which he is a Marine. AOI is the acronym. It
stands for Adapt - Overcome - Improvise. It sounds like the story of Crazy
Horse. We have certainly had to adapt to all kinds of temperatures,
weather, and movement on this boat and in all the places we have visited. We
have had to Overecome some tsunamis, broken propellors, and torn sails. And
of course we certainly had to improvise with our sail configuration and
repair using bolts and nuts when the foot of the spinnaker blew out. So the
High Commander might just have something with that motto. So if you see us
coming home with AOI tatooed in some visible place you will know what it
means.
