Crazy Horse - July 10

Last night we spend the night anchored off a little island called Erromango.
It was a beautiful anchorage with green hills, sandy beach, and what looked
like caves on the shore. The water was so clear and clean we could see the
bottom. We had a nice meal prepared by Matt and capped off with a visit to
Ocean Jasper to view the video of Maggie and Bob jumping out of an airplane
from 14000 ft. They had a free fall of 70 sec. It was amazing to watch let
alone experience for them. They had a successful landing on the island of
Malolo Lai Lai. They did their jump while we were all docked at Musket Cove
Marina.

We are now underway to our destination of Port Vila. That is where I will
meet my flight back to the US. You can imagine that I am excited to see all
the folks I love back home. There is a little sadness however, to leave my
crew and the others from the ARC. But I will return to re-experience all the
adventures of this rally. I am sure it will be daunting to face the hussle
and bussle of life in the fast lane.

This morning before we left for Port Vila we were greeted by David from the
island who had paddled out to see us on his outrigger canoe. He was offering
fruit from the island. We took some fresh mandarin oranges, papayas, and
grapefruit. We traded him for some rice and milk. He encouraged us to come
back to his island because he is building a yacht club like the one on Port
Resolution. Andrew took down his name and seems to be considering this
paradise for a future World ARC stop. It looks like it would be a wonderful
experience.

Soon I will be passing the writing torch to Andrew. Please write him back an
encouraging word if you get a chance.

Rosemary, Bill, Matt, and Andrew
