After waiting an additional three days in St Lucia to complete several significant projects, we departed Rodney Bay Marina Wednesday morning at 10:14.
All systems seem to operating well except for Corinne's stomach. The girls have been reading and drawing pictures, hopefully schoolwork will start tomorrow.
We have fairly light tradewind conditions with 12-14 kts from the northeast. Since our apparent wind is light we are motorsailing to maintain good speed. We estimate arrival next tuesday afternoon in San Blas Islands but that is a long way off...
Our plan is to catch up with all of the other boats in San Blas for the pot-luck dinner ashore and then proceed to the Caribbean entrance to the Panama Canal on Friday 20 Jan.
Not much sea life today, birds and flying fish. We hope to begin fishing tomorrow but are unsure which lure to use. Clark, where are you when we really need you?
