Having had a successful transit through the Panama Canal which was a fascinating experience first going down three locks then up two more locks, we have now sailed from Panama City to Las Perlas to enjoy these tranquil islands.
We anchored on Friday off Contadora which is where the WCC are hosting the farewell dinner on Wednesday, then moved on to the island where Survivor was filmed Isla Chapera and spent two nights there.
On the way to Las Perlas Dave managed to catch two lovely fish - dolphin and Bonito!! We cooked up the dolphin for dinner on Friday then Saturday we had dinner with the guys on Bronwyn and Luis who made a delicious appetiser using the Bonito! Yesterday Dave caught a Spanish Mackeral whilst we sailed from Isla Chapera to Contadora so we dined on this huge fish last night. Hopefully he can repeat the successful fishing on our next passage to the Galapagos.
