As we hoped, having the whole crew here together has made life a lot easier. While Lucinda and Andrew made the penultimate provisions run, Jake and Jeff were able to get on with lots of boaty things, like re-routing halyards (whatever they are) and scrubbing the decks. So relaxed have we become that we were even able to take time out for a Yachting World photo shoot, with the lovely Clare.
Sadly, we still have to make at least one more trip to Rolnautic, but at least this time it’s just to exchange something rather than to buy anything new – thank goodness.
This evening we attended the Farewell Cocktail Party at Real Club Nautico de Gran Canaria, a place about which one can only say ‘Wow!’. We were so impressed by the surroundings that even Andrew and Jeff managed to shower and shave and put on long trousers. We have rarely been so clean and smart (see attached photo of the crew in their matching Murphy polo shirts).
Our objective now is to get all remaining chores out of the way early tomorrow so we can just chill on Saturday afternoon before D-day on Sunday.
