Dia 12
[As yesterday, today is a splendid day, with some more wind – this is easier for helming the boat. With the moon and the stars as company, we are feeling at home, such that we are looking forward to arriving in St Lucia and to continue the adventure of the Caribbean.]
Gregorio.
After the trials and tribulations of the last few days this was probably the first day where the crew could relax, take some sun and finally step off the roller coaster that has been our home for the last 12 days. Phew!
We spent the day motoring in a dead calm sea and Kaare took himself down to the front of the boat for a few hours and now resembles an over-cooked lobster whilst Jan has taken the opportunity to read a couple more of the mountain of books he has brought with him. We continued our quest to catch more fish and on this occasion we were successful catching what we think is a King Fish. Jan was so excited he got a little carried away with the whole thing (see attached pic for love at first sight!) Sunset was amazing and for once we were able to enjoy our surroundings with a good coffee and contemplate what has been for everyone an amazing journey so far.
