At 0900 this morning the flag was raised and the doors opened to the rally office, located upstairs next to the Marina office. The first of the arrivals have already checked in. We look forward to welcoming more of the fleet as they begin to arrive in the beautiful Nanny Cay Marina. Registration at the ARC Europe & Atlantic Cup office is followed by a mandatory Safety Equipment Inspection onboard, when a member of the World Cruising team spends some time checking through the safety equipment required for the Rally. It also gives them a chance to talk through correct procedures for potential emergency situtations at sea.There is a relaxed but full programme ashore, starting officially on Monday evening with welcome drinks and canapes, the first time the fleet get together officially. Over 75% of this years participants have sailed in previous World Cruising events before; so for many it will be a great opportunity to catch up again, as well as welcome the new crews to the World Cruising Club family.
