First over the start, first over the finish

Our first yacht to cross the finish line in Bayona was also the first over the start-line in Plymouth. Yacht Quirine crept into Real Clube De Yates before dawn this morning. The Rally team of Andrew and Kieran guided Gerard and his crew onboard the Hallberg Rassy 43 into a med mooring style slip. The crew were in good spirits explaining they had enjoyed some fantastic sailing with surprisingly favourable winds.

The next to arrive was the Swan 47 Nordlys, owned by Nigel Biggs. Crossing the line shortly after dawn, they steamed into the marina and took their slip; Nigel made parking look very easy indeed. They agreed the passage had been kind to them, as they had enjoyed some fine downwind runs. Once greeted by the rally team, handed a local map and programme of events here in Bayona, the crew made their way to the hot showers. The next arrival was Leviathan II about an hour behind Nordlys. The Beneteau 35 has had a cracking sail clocking some high speeds across the bay. The team look forward to welcoming many more boats throughout the day and hope they enjoy what the beautiful town of Bayona has to offer.
