Last night over 550 people enjoyed the hospitality of the Muelle Deportivo's leading chandlery, Rolnautic, at the Rolnautic welcome fiesta. The welcome party was a good opportunity for the participants to relax after their preparations and get to know each other better whilst enjoying drinks and a selection of tapas.
Rolnautic's Juan Carlos Rodriguez welcomed everyone, reminding them of the great service offered by the Rolnautic team to the ARC boats every year. He added that Rolnautic wasn't only there for chandlery and the boat accessories in MarMare, but they could also recommend anything from flower arrangers to nannies! World Cruising Club's Andrew Bishop welcomed the fleet and thanked all of the Canarians for their hospitality.
A local rock band provided the entertainment and the dancefloor was quickly full with crews dancing and singing along. The infamous ARC social programme continues next week with nightly sundowners, the fantasy-themed costume party and the ARC Farewell Cocktail.
