Within a month from today, the World ARC will set sail from the lovely Rodney Marina in Saint Lucia. The rally will bring together boats and crews of different nationalities and backgrounds. Indeed, a few yachts are already in the marina including Michael Roberts’s, ViVo and Peter Shoosmith’s, Adela who just completed their Atlantic crossing with ARC+.
16 other yachts are currently mid Atlantic with the ARC that started in Las Palmas on the 24th of November.
Nexus and Trillium set sail with ARC Caribbean 1500 in November and are now enjoying the warm waters, cruising around the Caribbean. Several other World ARC boats have been enjoying this kind of lifestyle for several months or even seasons.
It’s a busy time in Saint Lucia for World Cruising Club, Saint Lucia Tourism Board and IGY Rodney Bay marina but all will be well prepared for the start of the World ARC programme in January. It begins with a Welcome Party on the 6th of January.
