With the last yachts of the World ARC fleet arriving in Darwin yesterday the fleet is now all together for the first time since
departing Mackay one month ago. The catamarans in the fleet are currently at
anchor in Fannie Bay and all the monohulls are berthed in Tipperary Waters
Marina.
Last night World Cruising Club hosted welcome drinks at the Dinah Beach Cruising Yacht Association clubhouse in Darwin. Participants enjoyed sunset drinks in the casual grounds of the DBCYA and appreciated the laid back and friendly
atmosphere so typical here in Australia. It was a wonderful evening where crews
were able to catch up and share stories from the free cruising period.
Last night was also the first chance for the World ARC fleet
to greet and welcome John and Sandra Watson and their crew.
Sirocco of Oz is joining the World ARC here in Darwin and are very much
looking forward to their extended adventures ahead.
