With a beautiful sunset in the background over 250 participants
come together to enjoy sundowners at the Boardwalk Bar located overlooking the IGY Rodney
Bay Marina.
Crews had the opportunity to get together to share stories
of their adventures across the Atlantic while enjoying the local rum punch. Fruit
punch was also available for the children who were very happy to meet up with new
found friends again.
Ed the Iguana joined at the bar as well after sailing from Las Palmas via the Cape Verde islands to St. Lucia on board Lunni, where he was spoiled by Oskar and Robert along the way.
Nearly all the fleet have completed ARC+ with only 6 boats
remaining to cross the finish line which are all expected to do so by Sunday 9
December.
The marina is filling up and there is an air of excitement as
the first of the ARC 2018 fleet have already begun to arrive. Over 20 yachts
are expected to arrive into the marina over the weekend with the middle of next
week seeing the bulk of the fleet arrive into Rodney Bay, St. Lucia.
The ARC+ Programme continues with the welcome party at the Harbor
Club Hotel sponsored by The Tourism Authority of St. Lucia.
