World Cruising Club are delighted to welcome Paul Tetlow as Managing Director (designate), from 1 August 2022. Paul re-joins the business from managing St Katharine Docks Marina in London and will take on full responsibility World Cruising Club from 1 January 2023 when current MD Andrew Bishop steps down. For Paul, it will be a return to familiar ground, having worked for WCC until 2015 as the Event Manager responsible for the World ARC round-the-world rally.
“It is great to be back at World Cruising Club and I look forward to meeting and assisting participants during this year’s ARC rallies and beyond.” said Paul. In addition to the experience gained from his business career, Paul is also a keen cruising sailor and qualified skipper. His appointment will help ensure continuity for the WCC staff, skippers, and crews, and the opportunity to bring new ideas to the rallies in the future.
Speaking about the appointment, Andrew Bishop said “We are delighted to welcome Paul back to World Cruising Club in his new role, and most importantly as my successor. His knowledge gained from previously running World ARC, combined with his wide-ranging experience in building teams and in event management will be hugely beneficial in continuing to deliver first-class events for our many participating sailors.”
Together with his wife Suzana, and the support of the rest of the current team, Paul will lead the company through the exciting new chapters that lie ahead taking World Cruising Club to the next level in its history.
