Technical Help and Advice On Hand

Nearly 20 technical and service companies and some of the yacht manufacturers, send a support crew to Las Palmas to help ARC participants prepare their boat for the crossing.

Each company has a ‘sign-up’ sheet in the ARC Information Centre & Shop and any ARC yacht can request a visit by adding their name to the list. Boats are generally visited in the order they sign up and the support team work their way through the lists. As you can imagine, the lists get longer and longer and with 230 boats, support crews are used to the heavy workload but still manage to get round all the boats in time before the start.

Most of the support teams are now here in Las Palmas and running around the marina fulfilling their jobs lists and are on hand to offer advice, support and back-up to ARC participants.
