Fanny Fisher - Crossing the Atlantic on a Current!

Day 13Having left Oscar, Papa and Quebec we had great hopes for Romeo and some wind, but that was not to be. Instead we have had plenty of time to philosophise - we have discovered the world is round, the horizon goes up hill, boats that we are sighting fall off the edge and for the next crossing we will bring our own moon as this one doesn’t work very well although it does make the stars more plentiful. So you can see with all that heavy thought the days just slip by. Fanny is happy and David is not only catching fish but also sleeping with the the flying fish that fly in through the hatch.  So life is good on the ocean.. read more...

Fanny Fisher - Living it up on the high seas.

So we blog from the Fanny Fisher Resort with her 360* surround swimmingpool which has been thoroughly enjoyed between reading books and pamperingourselves .Oh and we had a puff of wind this afternoon, just enough to remindourselves why we are here. Fanny Fisher - Gourmet Sailors

The impossible happened, after all our hassles we made it to the startingline on time where it was like being in a washing machine and we lost one crewmember for two days.Now  have finally got into a good cruising rhythm. Ouronly  “drawback” has been the 75cm /10-15 kg Tuna David managed to lureonto the end of his line. It made for some exciting moments and have since eatenlike kings on tuna steaks and Ceviche! Entertainment has been 2 ships and a podof about 50 dolphins which followed us for 5 hours. Should see Mindelo sometimesat. Cheers all aboard Fanny Fisher. read more...
