Miss Malin - Log day 15 - More Blogging
Fair winds all readers,Our journey with Miss Malin starts to reach its end. During the recent three weeks, yet stayed together 24 hours a day, our crew has formed a fantastic team. Day and night, we have worked on a limited area, slept under a heaven full of stars, and laughed. Experiences that made the passage possible. A journey that, with the power of wind, physical strength and full sails let us cross the Atlantic Sea. We have seen endless linkage between ocean and horizon, the sun rise and set, dolphins and whales curiously following our boat. This has been an experience that I wish everybody could fulfill. Miss Malin - Log day 6-Not a single boat in sight!
Our sixth day at sea and we start to get into our routines, I think.Watch passes at night, breakfast cooking before getting off the lastmorning pass, dinner cooking, etc. But also time to talk to each others, read or listen to music.I now recognize most of the sounds the boat makes, but I still use earplugs to sleep better. It has been pretty difficult to sleep well with theboat rolling and bumping into big waves all the time. The wind comes and goes today, and we got some rain as well. We had theengine on during the night when the wind died totally. We all enjoy when wecan sail and avoid the noise of the engine.Soon we have made a third of the passage and we can look forward to thenext little thing to celebrate, halfway!Lots of love to all back home from a smiling Mats!.

Miss Malin - Log day 5 - Trimming and sun!
Best readers! We have already reached the fifth day on the Atlantic Ocean, the big blue. For those who haven't been out here, the feeling IS fantastic. As I had a late shift during night, I woke up quite late (I guess I am thesleepiest person in here). However, my dear friends had arranged breakfastwith bacon and egg. As fresh food, such as fruits and vegetables starts tobecome bad, the fruit storage is now shrinking. I guess we won't enjoy thecanned pineapple as much as the fresh one we had today.Sailing and weather has been extremely good today. The Genacker is set, andwind is good. During the day, I challenged my arm muscles when trimming thesails. As our crew appears to be very bad losers, we take every chance forplayful competition. At the moment, I can hear how they scream "trim" up.
