Anettine - 13. June
We are still chasing our tuna dinner. We had a fantastic sailing night under blue sky, stars and a full moon. With the wind from north at 16-26 knots the speed has been very good between 7- 9 knots throughout the night. At 0900 we have approx 85 nm to the finishing line and we are some 10 nm behind our tuna dinner. Since the dinner not was delivered as agreed we are looking forward to a proper treat in Lagos.-------------------------------------------------Do not push the "reply" button to respond to this message if that includes the text of this originalmessage in your response.Messages are sent over avery low-speed radio link. Anettine - 12. June
We finished the last evening with an excellent 3 course dinner that included a small taste of local Port with the dessert. The captain made an ones on the journey exception to the none alcoholic policy. The night brought good sailing condition upwind with good speed. Defyr became "long legged", and unfortunately they passed us in the very early morning. We can still see their keel water, and with another 225 nm to go they better watch out. We will be on their tale, to get the promised tuna..

Anettine - 11. june
We had good and stable sailing speed through the night. In the early morning the wind dropped to 5 knots, and we had to take down the main to let the spinnaker have all the wind. We were able to maintain a speed of 2-2,5 knots for some hrs. The captain was were pleased with the crews dedication to keep Anettine going in the little wind and treated them with an English breakfast with sausages, pan-fried potatoes, beans, eggs and warm bread. The wind turned on NW and the spinnaker was replaced with the genaker and we are now at 1200 doing 4-6 knots in the light wind. Defyr caught a tuna last night and has promised to deliver meat for our dinner today..

Variable sailing conditions the last 24 hrs. We have selected a longer, northerly route and hope that will give us good winds. We started sailing genua and then genaker on a NY course up to 38 degrees. We then took an easterly course with spinnaker. We have just enjoyed a delicious dinner made by Mauritz and is cruising with the spinnaker in 7-8 knots in the sun set. We still have some 650 nm to go..

Anettine - 8. juni
We hoisted the spinnaker 4 minutes before start. The wind disappeared and we had some maneuvering problems on the starting line. Now at 1800 we are sailing genaker and enjoying 6,5 knots as Jonn is preparing the dinner. Jonn was unsure how much garlic, so all our stock went into this meal. Mauritz did Anettin's song on the VHF and impressed the captainwith the his singing. However his carrier and reputation might be at stake since he finalized his song by giving the captain a big wet kiss. The captain is still at a shock.-------------------------------------------------Do not push the "reply" button to respond to this message if that includes the text of this originalmessage in your response.Messages are sent over avery low-speed radio link.
