Sea To Sky - Log Day 5 / En Route to Cape Verde

We left Los Palmos to a vibrant, parade-like atmosphere – band playing,crowd waving and a dignatory shouting out goodbye.  Everyone in good cheeras we all sailed (very slowly) across the start line.  In the first day ortwo alot of motoring.  Then things went wild – wind and waves werebig.  Alternated between spinnaker and sails.  We are on the Thursdaynow.  The boat showing the stains of spilt coffee, beer and wine and Godknows what else.  Spirits are good though and we have Keith from Spiritcalling every once in a while to cheer us up with information of how far theyare ahead of us!  But as we sit with our morning coffee, a pod of dolphins(about 15) has come to put on a twenty minute aquatic show and bring smiles toour faces.  Happy sailing. read more...
