Embarking on his third mid life crisis, since he is too young to retire, Paul Hales is taking a sabbatical and leaving his Planning Consultancy Business for extended travelling. Paul sees the ARC as an ideal opportunity to undertake his first long distance crossing, having already sailed Namaste from the UK to Gran Canaria, where they are now eagerly awaiting the start. Paul will be joined by his daughter Chloe, 25, his son William, 27 (a former Junior ISO National Champion) together with Ross Henderson, 25, Chloe’s boyfriend and Paul’s mates, Peter Morris and Jeremy Barker (ages are too embarrassing to mention) who both come with more experience than the other three put together! On completion of their journey, Paul and his family plan to stay in the Caribbean, island hopping, before meeting his elder son in South America for extensive travelling, where he will hopefully earn the right to retire!
