Nemo - Half way and exciting experiences

Finally it's time to send a resuming log for this first half of the trip.Nemo kept reading of all other yachts' problems, but participate in the list with an initial broken gennaker furling system, then its pole and finally had a torn gennaker (since sunday we're sailing only with mainsail and genoa, often butterflying). We had also a problem with one of the rudders cable and stop for several hours to work on it.We love to sail in constant contact with yacht Mandula, always within some miles and always in VHF contact. We share recipes and fishing experiences and have pleasant chats during the day. Yesterday we had a close meeting with a shark, that robbed our fish while we were taking it out of the water (and it was our first big big one)! Nemo - Whales company

Today several Minkie whales swan around our catamaran and it was really exciting! It was the first time for us! Unfortunately the only fish we catched today was a 50 grams mini barracuda, incredible how small it was!. read more...
