Nauta D - log 03 December

greetings to the fleet from the good yacht 'nauta d' a frustrating last 24 hrs with winds of only 10 kts - thank goodness for george(autohelm)and the spinny but we would like at least another 10 kts of wind otherwise i'm in danger of winning the time past the finish line sweepstake(tues1530) but i dont want to win.we're enjoying the fruits of the ocean -excellent sushi from our daily catch of doradohaven't seen another 'arc'yacht since 'tillymint'last week - how are you, we like the name.our evening's entertainment centres around 'fawlty towers' - it's the 'don't mention the war' episode tonight and its great to see everyone on board sharing the same sense of humour!!our thoughts turn to arrival and we are pölishing up our 'lederhosen' to wear on deck as we cross the finishing linesafe. read more...

Nauta D - log 05 December

Greetings from nauta dWe've had 48 hrs of good sailing which looked like it had come to an end this morning when we noticed two small holes had appeared in the spinnaker.luckily the wind has picked up so there be may not be too much disadvantage - if that is the case it must be attributed to our daily offerings of schnaps which is administered to neptune by our oldest crew member, Long.- thanks neptune for answering our prayers and looking after us.However, he's a lucky fellowbeing the only person allowed alchohol during the voyage!!As we keep pölishing the lederhosen we can almost smell the rum in san lucia.Safe sailing everyone and especially greeting to all on board sylvia of blakeney - hope to see you at the finish.. read more...
