Hello everybody,
Here a small update from the Incisor. You will not believe
it but we are heading west! Yesterday late afternoon we changed our course to
270 degrees. We saw a big turtle swimming in the ocean. During the night, which
was the first real night in short and shirt, we did not have many winds as of
this the spinnaker was stuck between the steam light and got riped. So we will
not get bored the next couple of days sewing her back up. Also some of us
are getting the X-mas spirit as they were singing already some X-mas Carols. We
put down the mainsail as it was slapping around. This morning we saw that the
halyard was damaged so this has been expertly respliced by Rich this morning.. As
we woke up some dolphins were joining us again.
After sailing sometime with only butch up, we have hoisted
the mainsail again and put another spinnaker on heading for St Lucia.
In the evenings, we all have dinner together, so the whole
crew sees each other although it is a short time, as we change shifts the whole
time, so at each point of the day somebody is sleeping again.
The temperature is raising each minute and it is becoming
very hot if you are not sitting in the wind. As we are writing this blog there
has been some excitement as a preying mantis style bug has been seen. Everybody
is doing great. Hazel has made us dinner last night which was late due to the
spinnaker was damaged.
Some words from Frans for his colleagues, although thought
the heat it is a little suffering, it is still better than driving the bus!
Well as lunch being served, we have to go now. We will keep in
touch tomorrow.
Have a nice day we love you all.
