Philocat Ena - heads up

It's about time to give you all heads up.

We've had some exhausting last days as Stefan's leg got very infected and we
were not sure how to treat him correctly or whether to call the helicopter
in order to get him to hospital. But nothing is easy off shore and sometimes
there is just nothing you can do. Franziska was in close contact with the
head of the Austrian society of maritime health and safety and another
competent doctor and they helped us through. The leg seems to get better
now, Stefan is feeling better, too.

As there is hardly any wind left, the pink Spi is absolutely neccessary.
Instead of trying to fix the broken part I just tied a big fat knot on top
and though it might not be in best shape this funny construction has lasted
now for the past 48 hours and we even gain some speed.
Due to his illness Stefan does not participate actively in sailing or night
wakes anymore, thus Sven and I - with support of Franziska - share the
shifts. Franziska will often talk to us during the night to prevent us from
falling asleep or she will race upstairs when the speed increases suddely to
find the nightshift fast asleep...

We have to reach St. Lucia now with decreased crew and sails and we will
give our best for the remaining 299 nm

Peter
