Getting there slowly...
Managed to sleep a bit yesterday pm as did everyone so a bit more relaxed. Got the pole out again and gybed to SW on a line to St Lucia which is now 794nm to go...
Black clouds on the horizon behind don't seem to be producing the squalls we had last night thankfully but we are reefed down in case which is hampering speed but more relaxing!
Another B hole has appeared in the main adjacent to the top middle batten - advice to anyone wanting to do long distance sailing - go for v strong sails and triple the amount of spreader patches you consider necessary for each main position! Trying to protect the mainsail now by oversheeting it which means much more weather helm on this downwind sailing as she tries to load up all the time :).
Sounds like we got away easy yesterday as some friends on other boats had sails blown and deck fittings pulled out!
Ali cooked a good pasta with tomato onion etc (very nice) and continuing with our eclectic mixes, cold corned beef on the side :(? When my fab mum used to do it in a cottage pie it tasted good but to me now its just like dog food ! Bless, I recon we get soft and spoilt with decent food at home!
In other news, Nigel has loaded up with imodium so I am hoping the rest of us don't get any such problems. We are drinking bottled water as I really didn't trust the look of the stuff in Mindelo:(.
200£ worth of veg in Mindelo has nearly disappeared now just a few carrots and apples to go!

Hopefully an uneventful night in store = some sleep = hoorah!

Quite liked this from another Ali on Widago
Can not wait for a nice cold:
A. Heineken
B. Sapphire & tonic
C. Vueve Cliquot
D. All of the above

More rambling in the morning I suppose
Ps Well done my Polly :)
