Quiet night and manual helming.
The day rolls out as slowly as the wind. In the morning, a light breeze from NE pushes our gennaker gently; in our doldrumesque afternoon suddenly we hear a big wind ... it is coming from the blowholes of two small whales (Wow!)
Before sunset we decide to head 270∞ with a light NNE wind at our beam; dinner is 'jibe preventers' alla bolognese and roasted 'flapping sails'. Here comes the dark and a bright sky. Two dolphins are playing at our stern, showing us pure beauty. Their wake is plankton-luminescente just 10cm below the surface of the sea and making green torpedoes. A slight wind at our beam pushes us at 4 knots ... at last
First meal on board at sea
