Meltemi - Tag 7 + 8 "Licht am Ende vom Tunnel"

Day 7

The Saturday morning was still with a lot of wind, unfortunately from the wrong direction and continue with wild swells up to 4 meters wave, but for sunny. Overnight, we had lost about 30 miles we were drifting when turning to the north. According to the weather report, we will have to sail another two days against the wind to finally reach the long-awaited Passat wind. With new energy the crew starts the day. The storm cutter was set and so we sailed with mainsail and storm cutter into the day. Our skipper finally managed to activate our plotter again. A small blown fuse was the culprit for the system failure. The rest of Saturday was relatively quiet, the swell was still quite high,

- Day 8 Sunday

Sunday was a relaxed, sunny sail day with genoa and mainsail and bright sunshine. We threw the fishing rod for the first time, but today without success. Everyone was happy about the shower we could finally take back after it had not been possible for two days because of the heavy weather. In the evening the wind turned and it was so dizzy that we had to drive at night on Monday with engine. The changed wind direction gives us hope that we will reach the Passat gradually.

Greetings from the Atlantic
Nina & Crew
