Murphys Law - Murphys Law // Day 3 // Matthew 20:16 "The last shall be first"

Finally is Murphys Law also on hers way towards St. Lucia.

Murphys Law states that "Everything that can go wrong, will go wrong, and at the worst possible time". The name is based on empirical evidence, since the boat was bought in Croatia last summer. In June the life raft was accidentally triggered, in July we were towed by the Italian coast guard, in August by the Spanish coast guard, in September the mast had to be repaired on shore and in October one of the propeller blades fell up upon entering Lanzarote.

On Murphys Law it has been proved that everything takes twice as long as it takes. Therefore, and also to be able to have en exceptionally dinner at El Almacen steak house, we decided to delay the start by two days.

In Matthew 20:16 you can read that "the last shall be first". After 2 hours of sailing, we are approximately 45 hours behind the Bill Tripp, so this seems a bit implausible. Therefore most efforts will be put down to compete for the largest-fish-prize. At least get a larger fish than Alize.

Even tough the winds are not strong, the morale is. We are carrying 450 liters of water and enough food to satisfy a medium sized African village.

Fair winds!

Halvor, Eivind and Pål - Murphys Law
