Hanse Sailor - Day 20 on ARC (Friday): arrival to Rodney Bay, Saint Lucia!
At 02:55 am on Friday the 11th of December we stopped the engine at thesuper yacht port berth I09 in Rodney Bay, Saint Lucia. A fruit basket and a bottle of rum awaited on the pontoon waiting to beconsumed to celebrate our achievement.All on board are safe and sound. Now some days of relaxing on solidground. Hanse Sailor - Day 19 (Thursday): gennaker shred to pieces
After having sailed with the gennaker all night, the UV rays was finallytoo much for it. Around 9 am the sail was shred quite severely without hope tobe repaired on deck. Final day on the Atlantic in daylight. Final day on the Atlantic in daylight... Johan, on Hanse Sailor.

Hanse Sailor - Day 18 (Wednesday): dolphins
Various events on this day:A nice little group of 13 dolphins weresighted, playing(?) and exercising(?) just in front of the boat’s bow. Theyseemed quite happy about it. Stefan made full flip in the saloon after a big wave rolled the boat. Alice, the auto pilot, got relieved for a few hours as we wanted toovertake some competition (the vessel “Why not” in this case). Every 45 min wegot 1 nm closer to finally reach her at 19:10 just before dinner. Everybody onboth vessels were cheerful, confirming the existence of people on thisplanet. Johan, on HanseSailor.

Hanse Sailor - Day 17 (Tuesday): dish sorted
On this day, Craig, always being keen on making the dishes from yesterday’slunch and dinner, finally found the optimal bucket setup for the wash operation.Everybody was much pleased with this achievement as the dingy, being filledunwashed dishes, started to weigh more that the boat itself. Well doneCraig! Other than that the strings holding the tack and head of the gennakersnapped off. Once again the sail went down for repair to be hoisted for useagain. Johan, on Hanse Sailor.

Hanse Sailor - Day 16 (Monday): wriggling flying fishes in the cabins
Only a few days left until we reach St Lucia. Remaining distance: 500nm. During the last couple of nights, flying fishes has been attentive to jointhe vessel. This has not been entirely appreciated by us on the boat as they areof a more slimy sort of kind. Rob, our first mate, got quite a surprise afterjust going into sleep in the saloon to experience a wriggling flying fishrocketing through the window hatch and cuddle up next to him. Sounds ofnightmares was close to his reaction. The little fish was quickly thrownoverboard. Johan, on Hanse Sailor.
