World ARC 2025-26: Saint Lucia to Colombia

What a fantastic day for the beginning of the World ARC 2025-26 Rally! A circumnavigation lasting 15 months, and the opportunity to visit some of the most amazing, beautiful and remote islands in the world.

The sun was shining, the seas were calm, and there was a gentle easterly breeze to set everyone on their way. The fleet of 32 yachts looked splendid, with many flying colourful downwind sails as they crossed the starting line and continued on the first part of their 815 nautical mile leg from Rodney Bay, Saint Lucia to Santa Marta, Colombia.

The World ARC fleet was extremely privileged to be bid farewell by the Deputy Prime Minister of St Lucia, the Honorable Dr Ernest Hilaire, accompanied by the General Manager of IGY Rodney Bay Marina, Sean Devaux. Friends and family were aboard local boats to give the fleet a wave as they set sail on their adventure.

We wish the fleet fair winds, calm seas and a fabulous sail to Colombia where the yellow shirts will be waiting to give them a warm welcome.

A big thank you to our partners in Saint Lucia for all the support throughout the World ARC programme – Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, ECSL (Events Saint Lucia) and IGY Rodney Bay.
