World ARC

Round-the-world adventure from Saint Lucia or Australia
World ARC 2023 yachts at anchor off Direction Island in Cocos, with a white sand beach and palm trees

Set sail on the World ARC, a thrilling 26,000-nautical-mile, 15-month circumnavigation through some of the world’s most stunning destinations. Starting every January in Saint Lucia, you’ll cruise the Panama Canal, Pacific islands, Australia, the Indian Ocean, South Africa, the Atlantic, Brazil, and back to the Caribbean.

If you prefer a slower pace or a partial journey, you can join or leave the rally in Australia. Many sailors choose to sail with the rally to Australia, explore for a year, then rejoin the next edition for the return trip to the Caribbean.

Boats

The World ARC is open to monohulls from 12.19m to 24.38m (40–80 feet) and multihulls from 12.19m to 19.81m (40–65 feet). If your yacht falls outside these sizes, don’t worry — we’re happy to consider entries on a case-by-case basis.

If you’re thinking about joining a bluewater rally like the World ARC, it’s important that your yacht is well-suited for ocean sailing. That means a strong, seaworthy design, reliable rigging, good fuel and water capacity, and the ability to be self-sufficient at sea for extended periods.

Crew

World ARC is like a floating village, bringing together sailors of all ages and nationalities.
Some crews stay the same throughout the entire rally, while others welcome different friends and family to join them along the way. We're happy to advise on the best ports for crew changes and how to plan around arrivals and departures.

With World ARC, there’s always a familiar face and someone new to meet in every port!

Support

In every rally port, our Yellowshirt team is on hand to help you make the most of your stay. Whether it's coordinating Customs and Immigration on remote islands or organising unforgettable social events, they're your go-to support on shore.

While the rally is at sea, our professional team provides 24/7 on-call support, ready to assist in an emergency, liaise with authorities, and help manage any situation that may arise — giving you peace of mind throughout your journey.

Costs

World ARC entry fees are made up of a boat fee, based on the yacht's length overall, and a crew fee for each person onboard. Multihulls incur a supplementary charge.

As an example, for the 2026 edition:
A 15.3m (50ft) yacht pays £29,500 for the full circumnavigation, or £18,500 for the half rally (Caribbean to Australia).
The full rally crew fee is £3,000 per person.

The boat fee includes complimentary mooring prior to departure, immigration and cruising permit fees (excluding visas), and major transits such as the Panama Canal. For full details, request an information pack.
