The most popular sailing rallies
Like the ARC, ARC+ crosses the Atlantic from Gran Canaria to the Caribbean, but there's just a little bit more, hence the Plus! From Gran Canaria, the rally heads south to Mindelo on São Vicente in Cape Verde. After four to six days ashore exploring the islands, the fleet departs, bound for Port Louis Marina on the spice island of Grenada.
There's always a varied fleet, but the rally is especially popular with families. Because of the smaller marina in Mindelo, the fleet is usually capped at just under 100 boats ranging from 27 feet to 65 feet (8.23m to 19.81m).
Las Palmas to Mindelo is 850NM or 5-7 days at sea, and Mindelo to Grenada is 2150NM or 12-16 days at sea.

Gran Canaria
Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is the ideal departure point for an Atlantic crossing, with al the marine services and shoreside facilities you'll need.
Cape Verde
Mindelo Marina on São Vicente is the port of call, and rally sailors have the opportunity to explore the island and the neighbouring island of Sant Antao.
Grenada
Port Louis Marina in St George's is the destination of ARC+. Explore the beaches, waterfalls and produce of Grenada, and cruise up the Caribbean to the Grenadines.
Before the fleet sets sail, there's a busy programme of events in Las Palmas to celebrate your adventure and to help sailors to meet and mingle. Highlights include the flag parade, costume party and safety demonstration. Our advice - get there in good time for all the fun!
In Mindelo and Grenada, there are prizegivings and social events, plus tours ashore in Cape Verde.
Families sailing with children will be docked together in the marina to help the kids (and parents!) make friends. Children aged 6-16 can join the kids' club in the week of departure as part of their crew entry fee. Kids' club activities include sailing and watersports, and visits to local attractions, like the aquarium.
The entry fee for ARC+ is a boat fee based on length overall, and a crew fee for every person onboard. Multihull yachts pay a supplement.
As an example, the 2026 cost for a 13.2m (43 feet) yacht is £1900 plus £300 crew fee per person. Children aged 6-16 are £175, and younger children are free.

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is a great place to buy food and drinks for an Atlantic crossing. There are excellent supermarkets, a produce market and specialist suppliers who can deliver to the marina.
