Gran Canaria Tourism

The Gran Canaria Tourism Board is a valued partner of the World Cruising Club and a long-standing supporter of the ARC, helping to welcome sailors from around the world to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria each year.

As the island’s official tourism organisation, the Gran Canaria Tourism Board is responsible for promoting Gran Canaria internationally and supporting the development of tourism across the island. Its work helps showcase Gran Canaria as a welcoming, accessible and diverse destination for visitors from around the world.

For ARC sailors, the partnership plays an important role in welcoming the fleet to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the home of the ARC. The island provides an ideal base for crews as they prepare for their Atlantic crossing, with excellent marina facilities, a strong sailing community and everything sailors need for their final preparations.

The Tourism Board also helps us share the wider attractions and experiences that make Gran Canaria such a rewarding place to visit, whether crews are staying for a few days before the start or taking the opportunity to explore the island during their time here.

Discover Gran Canaria

From its historic towns and vibrant capital to its beaches, mountains, local cuisine and year-round climate, Gran Canaria offers plenty to discover beyond the marina.

We encourage ARC participants to make the most of their time on the island and explore everything Gran Canaria has to offer.
