L’Esterre Junior Sailing Grenada

L’Esterre Junior Sailing

L’Esterre Junior Sailing is a charity based in Grenada which offers sailing opportunities to children. They hope that by providing these opportunities the children will:

  • Learn respect for safety and rules
  • Develop self-discipline and responsibility
  • Learn teamwork and camaraderie
  • Awaken an interest in other maritime activities
  • Build confidence through achievement

Money raised through the Positive Impact Fund in 2025 will be used to purchase an inflatable dinghy and an outboard engine that will serve as the safety escort boat, as well as life jackets for the children. Future donations will be used to upgrade their fleet of optimists, therefore allowing more children the opportunity to learn to sail.

Grenada is the location of the finish line of World Cruising Club’s second largest Rally, ARC+, so World Cruising Club is delighted to support L’Esterre Junior Sailing in their goals. It also holds a strong connection with World Cruising Club as a sailing-based charity.
