Rally Handbook

The Rally Handbook is packed full of useful information about the rally. The Handbook should be shared with all members of the crew, so please encourage them to read the book, or download the files below.

Section 1 – Introduction

This section welcomes you to the Rally, introduces the World Cruising Club team and gives the Rally schedule.

Section 2 – Preparation

The Preparations section is divided into three chapters, covering everything needed to prepare both boat and crew for the Rally. It explains the World Cruising Club the required safety gear for ARC Baltic, as well as listing additional recommended safety items. The Preparation section offers guidance on preparing your boat a Rally - including communications, sail choices and spares. It helps you take a critical look at your boat’s readiness. It also provides practical advice to crews on areas such as dealing with medical issues, sailing with children and sailing with pets. 

Section 3 - Local Information

This section provides detailed information on the Rally stopovers. 

Section 4 – Rally at Sea

This section looks at Rally communications, the likely conditions on the rally route and sources of weather information.
