World Cruising Club is delighted to announce the launch of its new Bluewater Partnership Programme, an exciting initiative designed to strengthen the support, resources and opportunities available to both rally participants and owners of yachts built by participating manufacturers.

The new programme has been created to bring together World Cruising Club's unrivalled rally expertise and the experience of leading bluewater yacht manufacturers, to create the best possible experience for sailors preparing for and participating in offshore rallies.

As part of this exciting new initiative, World Cruising Club is proud to welcome Balance Catamarans as the first multihull manufacturer to join the Bluewater Partnership Programme.

Known for designing high-performance bluewater cruising catamarans, Balance shares World Cruising Club’s commitment to adventure, safety and exceptional sailing experiences.

Through the partnership, Balance owners will benefit from greater opportunities to thoroughly prepare their yachts and crews for bluewater cruising and have access to support during their adventure.

“This partnership represents an important step in our ongoing commitment to supporting sailors at every stage of their bluewater cruising”, said Paul Tetlow, Managing Director of World Cruising Club. "We look forward to working closely with the team at Balance, not only to provide their owners with an outstanding rally experience, but also to enhance the experience for all of our participants.”

The Bluewater Partnership Programme reflects World Cruising Club’s belief that successful and enjoyable offshore sailing is built on thorough preparation from the earliest opportunity and a strong network of support and knowledge.

By working more closely with yacht manufacturers, World Cruising Club aims to create new opportunities for education, preparation, and engagement, while continuing to deliver the world-class rallies for which it is known for.

Balance Catamarans’ involvement marks the beginning of what World Cruising Club hopes will become a strong network of selected bluewater partners committed to supporting sailors both on and off the water.

Speaking about the partnership, Patrick Roscoe, Chief Operating Officer of Balance Catamarans, said: "The development of our community is an incredibly important part of the Balance experience, and this partnership will not only bring our owners closer together, but connect them into the wider network of the sailing community. We are equally excited to showcase our world cruising platforms among a like-minded group of world-travelling sailors, and we cannot wait to see that expansion take shape."

About Balance Catamarans

Born to fill the gap in the market between charter platforms and stripped-out racers, the range now spans from 46 to 76 feet and is built around carbon-reinforced construction, daggerboard-equipped hulls and the signature VersaHelm.

Every catamaran is handcrafted at the company's yards in Cape Town and St Francis Bay, South Africa, and built to cross oceans with genuine speed and real comfort, shortening passages without asking her owners to give up the way they want to live aboard.
