As excitement builds for the start of this year’s Atlantic Rally for Cruisers, Peters & May is proud to mark 20 years of partnership with the World Cruising Club as it celebrates 40 years of the ARC.

A Partnership Built on People

Since 2005, Peters & May has supported World Cruising Club rally participants with expert logistics — transporting yachts, spare parts, and equipment across more than 75 countries. With decades of experience and a truly global network, Peters & May provides the reliability and personal service that ARC participants have come to depend on.

This year, Richard Howatt and Nathan Lemoine from Peters & May will be on the docks in Las Palmas, meeting crews, answering questions, and soaking up the atmosphere as the fleet prepares to depart. Both will also be in Saint Lucia to welcome the yachts across the finish line — a tradition that reflects the company’s commitment to the ARC family and to being part of the journey, not just the logistics.

“After two decades, the ARC feels like home for us,” said Richard Howatt, Senior Sales Manager for Peters & May’s Yacht Transport division. “It’s the people — the skippers, crews, and organisers — who make it so special. We’re proud to play a small part in helping their adventures begin safely and end successfully.”

Raising a Glass at the Sundowner

Ahead of departure, Peters & May will once again sponsor the popular Sundowner evening in Las Palmas — relaxed social gatherings that that capture the spirit of the ARC and give crews a chance to unwind, share stories, and celebrate before crossing the Atlantic.. These have become a much-loved part of the event’s tradition, and a highlight of Peters & May’s involvement each year. “The Sundowner captures what the ARC is all about,” adds Richard. “It’s a celebration of shared ambition and camaraderie. We’re thrilled to be part of it again this year.”

Continuing the Journey

Once the fleet arrives in the Caribbean, Richard and Nathan will once again be on hand to provide logistics support and to help skippers plan their yacht’s return journey. Peters & May’s scheduled sailings from Florida and the Caribbean back to Europe and the Mediterranean are timed to align with ARC participants’ post-season plans, ensuring a smooth and coordinated return home.

New for 2025: Online ARC Quotes

In the latest World Cruising Club newsletter, participants were introduced to a brand-new digital feature from Peters & May — personalised online quotes for yacht transport.

Owners can now securely view and download their tailored transport quote online, including route options, dates, and services, using a simple link and passcode.

This online system makes it easier than ever for ARC skippers to manage their post-rally logistics — part of Peters & May’s continued commitment to evolving its services and providing a seamless customer experience.

For Peters & May, the ARC isn’t just a partnership; it’s a reflection of everything they stand for — precision, reliability, and genuine connection with the global sailing community.
